finishing up my piece

did not take a picture this weekend as I continue weaving on my piece.
I think I finish tonight the light section and might use the fabric for sewing a top.
I like everything about it, wonder if it washes well,     ---- we will see.
The hardest thing for me is, when I finish a piece I have to think about the next one.
Sometimes it evolves naturally that while I weave I can see already improvements I want to make in a similar piece. But sometimes it just ends there.
Maybe I need to give myself permission just to doodle on my loom, just to weave instead of trying so hard to make something spectacular every time.
My motto for today: Be kind to myself!!!

I think of this as my Japanese piece

all the fibers are from Japan, other then the sticks which are most likely from China.
This might be the background for something different, maybe a story?

starting to weave on my 8-harness loom

The fiber I had chosen, lent itself to a more random weave structure then a regular one.
This is kind of exciting news because it opens up a different direction then I had planned.
Now it will be a piece for a background structure.
Tonight, I am trying to integrate sticks and then more fabric like fiber.
I like the earthy look of it.
Will be interesting.

ready to weave

this is my first time on an 8 harness loom
and the treading is hard, now when I go to weave, I can say, I am going for my workout!
